And it Continues......

Well NHL hockey fans alike, I wish I had better news to report. No, Chicago Blackhawks, I still haven't forgotten about you even though my Wolves is the only hockey being played now. According to a Yahoo! article, Bill Daly, NHL deputy commissioner, announced that the first two weeks of the season are basically canceled. Below are a couple of snippets:

"In announcing the cancellation, Daly issued the following statement:

"We were extremely disappointed to have to make today's announcement. The game deserves better, the fans deserve better and the people who derive income from their connection to the NHL deserve better. "

"We remain committed to doing everything in our power to forge an agreement that is fair to the players, fair to the teams and good for our fans.

"This is not about 'winning' or 'losing' a negotiation. This is about finding a solution that preserves the long-term health and stability of the League and the game.

Now, here is how I see it, since there hasn't been a collective bargaining agreement reached or commonly known as the CBA, so far the first two weeks of the season will be canceled. This is not a good sign because who knows how many more games will be canceled (let's hope no more). For the dedicated hockey fans, this isn't good. What are we going to do without our favorite sport? The reason why I feel so dedicated to this topic is because both sides, the NHL owners and National Hockey League Players Association, in the end, MAKE MILLIONS OF $. Why can't they settle their issues regarding non-hockey revenue and various other issues. Please please please just agree, compromise, and try to make everyone happy. That is my vent. lol Thank you for listening! :)
