Stanley Cup

Here is an interesting piece I found about how Chicago isn't really told when the cup will come to which restaurant. Hmmmm read it and let me know what you think. Personally, I haven't seen the cup as of yet. I hope to eventually! :) As always, thank you for reading and keep your sports loving alive people!

Love,

Mary

Hawks are 2015 Stanley Cup Champions

Hello folks....I know...long time no talk to. My boys did win the Stanley Cup this season by beating the Preds, Wild, Ducks, and Lightening. Yeahhh boys! :) Here are some pictures that I took at the Hawks parade and rally on June 18th, 2015. Of coarse living in the amazing City of Chicago, it was pretty awesome for my boys to bring the 6th Stanley Cup back to where it belongs and I had to go celebrate it with the rest of the Hawks fans. Enjoy the photos sports fans and again I do apologize for the long wait! GO HAWKS GO!!!! DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR! :)

Hawks vs. Preds Game 5 at 8:30 tonight

Hello sports fans! Long time no talk to. How have you guys been? The exciting news is that the Hawks could eliminate Preds tonight and send them home golfing. How awesome would that be! :) All they have done this round is not welcome us at their crappy arena and restrict us....which isn't cool and therefore they deserve to get eliminated nice and early. The game can be seen on CSN- Chicago or if you don't have cable like me...hear it on WGN radio 720 am. LET GO HAWKS! GO HAWKS GO!

Mary! Have a great day everyone and take care! Thanks for reading as always.

Life = Curves in the Road

Hello dedicated sports fans. Recently, being let from an internship in Northbrook, it is like a slap in the face. Yes, it was an internship; however it still hurts to be let go because of not fitting in. You give it your all and it is not enough for some people. The upside to this is I have free time to catch up on what I haven't had time to do and apply for jobs I actually want to. Take a new career path or try something different is my goal now.

How do you get over being rejected?

Feel free to comment below and there is no right or wrong answer.

Thanks for reading! :)

Delay.....

Hello folks! Sorry for the delay of posting content. I got an internship and it pretty much took up most of my time. But I will be doing posting today and hopefully keeping up more with this blog.

What topics would you readers like me to address?

Comment below and I look forward to keep on going with this blog!  :)

Valentine's Day Folks

Love is in the air, can't you smell it? The attention-grabbing aroma of Chocolate- Covered Strawberries and  lots of candy and trucks full of teddy bears! You know how it goes!

I have to confess something to you readers: I have never had a boyfriend on this day.

Taking that into consideration, this year it will be a special Valentine's Day. I have a loving boyfriend named Greg and we have been dating for almost ten months. You got that right dedicated readers, two months short of a year. Thinking about that is almost crazy because it is funny how fate finds you when you need some guidance.

We plan on watching the Hawks practice (if it isn't canceled on a last minute notice) at 11 in the morning and then seeing the movie Fifty Shades of Grey. That is all we have planned and then go from there. Additionally, I already snagged his gift, although I don't know how I am going to do his card. My options are making one from home or buying one at Target ( I love this place!).

What are your plans for Valentine's Day? Feel free to let me know in the comment section below.

Thank you for reading! :)

My Chicago Blackhawks

                                                 My Soap Box thoughts

As of the past two games, my boys have been shut out. As a dedicated fan, this is not good news and not how they need to be playing in the month of February. In fact, the Hawks haven't been shut out two games in a row since October of 2014. The next game is Friday verses the Jets at 7 p.m. and it is essentially do-or-die in terms improving.

What I mean by improving is winning and getting more shots-on-goal during power plays and throughout the duration of the game in general as long as having the defensive players help out Corey Crawford and Raanta  (both of our goalies) A LOT more. Without help from their teammates, goalies really can't be expected to save pucks all by themselves and I dislike how some Hawks fans on Google Plus are just hating on Crawford.

People, IT TAKES A TEAM TO WIN AND LOSE TOGETHER. If one player isn't doing their job to the best of their ability, then the whole team suffers. Just because Crow may let in two goals in a game, there are multiple reasons why such as being screened a few players from the opposing team or simply an unlucky bounce off a random player's skate. As far as I know, Crow ISN'T going anywhere. So support him with the Hawks or simply DON'T be a Hawks fans. It is as simple as that.

For those of you readers, who follow other sports besides hockey, what do you think about this in relation to your sport?

Rihanna - Take A Bow

This was the song I was thinking about all day. Why, you may ask?

To all my ladies, NEVER tolerate a cheater in your life. I don't care how many times he apologizes or says "baby, I didn't meant it".....don't believe ONE word that he says. Stand up for yourself because you DESERVE better! And better yet: lose all contact and know that your self-worth is more important than how much you may be hurting. Personally speaking, being cheated on sucks, but it is all about the aftermath and the process of moving forward with your life.

- Question for all my female sports fans:

How have you dealt with a nasty break-up? Please feel free to share your thoughts below. I love it when people freely speak their mind without restricting themselves! :)

Update on Life

Hello sports fan,

Sorry for the little vacation from this awesome blog. Recently, there has been a three day snow storm in the Chicagoland area and that meant lots of shoveling. Stay tuned for plenty of posts!

Thank you for reading and have a lovey night!

In other news.....

Teuvo Teravainen has been called from the Hawks AHL affiliate because Versteeg retained an upper-body injury after body blocking a shot during the Winter Classic.

Hawks vs. Stars 1/4/14 7 pm WGN

Hello sports fans,

Well I can tell you this for sure: after a loss at the Winter Classic in Washington, DC, tonight was a must win game. Dallas may think they were coming into the United  Center with a guaranteed win, but my boys kept up with them when they took the temporary lead. After a hard fought three periods, the score was tied 4- to - 4 with a game equal in speed and talent. For your information, overtime is the BEST part of hockey because it puts both teams to the test as to how far they can take it. As always, my Hawks prevailed and Patrick Sharp scored the OT goal. Yey! 2 POINTS that could help us in the standings right now! WAY TO GO HAWKS!

- Question for thought:

Depending on which sport you like, what is the best part of it and why?

Feel free to comment and have a lovely night beautiful readers! :)
