Sports and Friends?

Howdy sports fan all over the world! Just thought I'd do a quick post about sports and friendship can be a great or deadly mix. Great mix with regards to bonding over a common interest such as soccer, basketball, or hockey as well as attending player parties and going out to eat after the games as well. Sometimes you can form friends for life just by becoming a sports fan. However, on the other side, sports and friends can become a deadly mix due to differences regarding a favorite player, living in another state and supporting a rival team that everyone hates, or silly social media conflicts during the offseason. If there is one piece of advice I have learned this past week, friends made through sporting events aren't always permanent just like friend oustide of a sports environment. I'd like to hear what you guys think out there by answering the following question:

* Have you had a positve experience with sports and making friends or a difficult one? Explaining why would be helpful as well. Thank you for reading and take care of yourselves! :)

Crazy Soccer Mom (part 2)

Parents and Sports? Good or Bad Combination?

Hello sports fans! :) Today's post will be about parents and sports. When you think of parents coaching their child's sports team ,whether it be baseball or football, how do you see it? Well, I see it as a way for a child and parent to share quality time together while being involved in something that peaks an interest for both parties. However, on the opposite end of the spectrum, it can get too competitive and in fact it can be a lethal combination because parents always want their children to succeed in life; that doesn't mean that it can't get a bit over the top. How can we avoid a situation in which parents can observe safely from the sidelines, while being directly or indirectly involved, and still be a spectator at the same time? There is a simple answer and a more complicated answer. The simple answer is to let the child skill's shine through and be their  "cheerleader" through the bad and good games. The more complicated answer is to find a happy medium between not being at all involved and from being overbearing to the point of being rude and disturbing other parents from cheering on their own children.

I'd love to hear what you dedicated readers out there think about this topic. Please feel free to comment with any thoughts or feelings and why you feel that certain way. I can't wait to read what you readers have to say. Additionally, I would love to hear from you guys and how to get you more involved with this blog because without you readers,  I wouldn't be at the present moment in time writing this post. Thank you for spending time reading this blog and my hope is that I can get you to love sports even more. Have a great day and take care of yourself. Until later on. <3

Deeper Thoughts

Howdy! :) Just thought that I'd write about sports in general today, but specifically, how there is much more to a team than fans. Sure fans are pretty much like free public relations for that sports organization, but think about how many individuals "really" make up any sports organization. You have the media people such as the announcers, technology savy individuals who work the cameras and take professional pictures,  the cleaning crew, food and alcohol vendors, front office staff, the players, coaches, athletic training folks who are similiar to medical professionals, team doctors such as dentists, equipment managers, and finally the dedicated people who deal with fans who want to buy tickets as well as people who work in the ticket box office. The point is when you think about a sports team, without the hard work of others within that organization, a " team" would not function smoothly. Next time you attend some sort of sporting event or public concert, stop for a minute and realize that without people working together, sports would not exist. Have a great day and take care of yourself. Feel free to comment as always. Thanks! :)

NHL hockey is Over for Now... ):

Hi all you sports fans out there! Now that hockey, specifically NHL hockey is over with until October or so, what sports do we have to look forward to? Well in Chicago, we have baseball, soccer, and that's about it. So with me being a huge hockey fan, it is hard to cope with not watching my favorite sport, but I will survive. I wanted to know if you readers are hockey fans and what you do in order to cope without hockey during the offseason? I'm really missing it and just wanted some ideas from you dedicated readers if you don't mind sharing. Personally, it's crazy how much sports alters your life and the friends that make an ultimate difference in your life as well. Thanks for reading and feel free to comment with any thoughts, opinions, or any statements. Have a great day everyone!

Ps. As a side note, I haven't posted on here in a while because I had my 21st birthday party and life has been a bit hectic. But I am dedicated to this blog because I have so much passion for my Chicago sports especially Hawks and Wolves and i love writing. Thanks for bearing with me and I'd really love to hear from you! :)

More Pictures

CONGRATS KINGS!!!

Hello everyone! My Kings won the Stanley Cup yesterday on NBC, which is Channel 5 in Chicago, IL, and I could not be more proud! Look at how hard they worked during those four minute powerplays they were given when blood was drawn from a nasty hit along the board! Congrats to the LA Kings organization, team, loads of dedicated fans, and finally everyone from the individuals working at the front desk to those scraping the ice. It takes an "army" to make a team "work" together and this is a prime example of how hard work really pays off! :) And again congrats to my Kings for winning the 2012 Stanley Cup! You guys deserve it and enjoy the parade in LA. Just a side note, when my Blackhawks won the cup in 2010, it was pure craziness in downtown Chicago and I assume it will be the same way. Hats off to a great team and organization! :)

Funny Pictures

Hello again. I was in the mood today to post some pictures of crazy sports fans because number one it makes me laugh how crazy sports can make people and two people in general love visuals and graphics. So enjoy the photos I found on Yahoo! pictures below and laugh all you want:

* This is my dad by the way in a Chicago Wolves jersey. ( Yes all my family are crazy Chicago Wolves fans.... and that is ok.)

Look at this. It is really inspiring! :)

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/eve-potential-stanley-cup-final-sweep-kings-donate-025257385.html

The link to the above article talks about how the LA Kings, who play their 4th Stanley Cup Playoff game tonight - it depends upon where you live ( Somewhere between 5 and 8 p.m.) and fyi the game is on Comcast or Dish- their organization had donated $50,000 to help find a 14 month old little baby boy who was killed around their town of Los Angeles. This is where hockey and a community come together for the greater good of society. This proves that sports aren't all about winning, losing, or getting the best record in the league, but about creating change around the team's local community! I just wanted to thank the Kings for having a classy organization and helping find the killer of an innocent 14 month-old baby boy! Additionally, this shows that their is still caring teams and people in the world! :) Pass on some love today.I don't care if that is hugging your mother or saying " I Love You" to your wife or girlfriend! The world needs more love; not hate. Thanks for reading and feel free to comment. Until later all you sports fans out there!
