Valentine's Day Folks

Love is in the air, can't you smell it? The attention-grabbing aroma of Chocolate- Covered Strawberries and  lots of candy and trucks full of teddy bears! You know how it goes!

I have to confess something to you readers: I have never had a boyfriend on this day.

Taking that into consideration, this year it will be a special Valentine's Day. I have a loving boyfriend named Greg and we have been dating for almost ten months. You got that right dedicated readers, two months short of a year. Thinking about that is almost crazy because it is funny how fate finds you when you need some guidance.

We plan on watching the Hawks practice (if it isn't canceled on a last minute notice) at 11 in the morning and then seeing the movie Fifty Shades of Grey. That is all we have planned and then go from there. Additionally, I already snagged his gift, although I don't know how I am going to do his card. My options are making one from home or buying one at Target ( I love this place!).

What are your plans for Valentine's Day? Feel free to let me know in the comment section below.

Thank you for reading! :)

My Chicago Blackhawks

                                                 My Soap Box thoughts

As of the past two games, my boys have been shut out. As a dedicated fan, this is not good news and not how they need to be playing in the month of February. In fact, the Hawks haven't been shut out two games in a row since October of 2014. The next game is Friday verses the Jets at 7 p.m. and it is essentially do-or-die in terms improving.

What I mean by improving is winning and getting more shots-on-goal during power plays and throughout the duration of the game in general as long as having the defensive players help out Corey Crawford and Raanta  (both of our goalies) A LOT more. Without help from their teammates, goalies really can't be expected to save pucks all by themselves and I dislike how some Hawks fans on Google Plus are just hating on Crawford.

People, IT TAKES A TEAM TO WIN AND LOSE TOGETHER. If one player isn't doing their job to the best of their ability, then the whole team suffers. Just because Crow may let in two goals in a game, there are multiple reasons why such as being screened a few players from the opposing team or simply an unlucky bounce off a random player's skate. As far as I know, Crow ISN'T going anywhere. So support him with the Hawks or simply DON'T be a Hawks fans. It is as simple as that.

For those of you readers, who follow other sports besides hockey, what do you think about this in relation to your sport?

Rihanna - Take A Bow

This was the song I was thinking about all day. Why, you may ask?

To all my ladies, NEVER tolerate a cheater in your life. I don't care how many times he apologizes or says "baby, I didn't meant it".....don't believe ONE word that he says. Stand up for yourself because you DESERVE better! And better yet: lose all contact and know that your self-worth is more important than how much you may be hurting. Personally speaking, being cheated on sucks, but it is all about the aftermath and the process of moving forward with your life.

- Question for all my female sports fans:

How have you dealt with a nasty break-up? Please feel free to share your thoughts below. I love it when people freely speak their mind without restricting themselves! :)

Update on Life

Hello sports fan,

Sorry for the little vacation from this awesome blog. Recently, there has been a three day snow storm in the Chicagoland area and that meant lots of shoveling. Stay tuned for plenty of posts!

Thank you for reading and have a lovey night!
